Smith & Wright Research Project

Several years ago I set about to research my Great-Grandmother Dorthula Dalue Smith`s family line. Needless to say it has been somewhat of a challenge. I sat it aside for a couple years and recently came back to it. I am going to be sharing everything that I have learned to date with regard to her Ancestors here on this page. The above photo is a screen shot of her family tree, taken directly from my Ancestry Family Tree account. I am going to skip ahead to Dorthula`s Paternal, Grandmother; my third-Great-Grandmother. I will be sharing her lineage on this page and at a later date, I will focus on other Ancestors of Dorthula.

The above document is dated October, 1841 and it states that Catherine Wright was received by Experience and was to Baptized into the Church. Older record books for this church have yet to be located by this researcher. Since she was received by Experience then it may be that the above 1836 date was correct for when she first joined a church.
