I have a DNA match to a Descendant of one Jacob Eades b. abt. 1730, probably in Rowan County, North Carolina. Jacob married one Esther _________. There are 3 children, that I have currently found for Jacob and Esther, Richmond B. Eades b.1828 likely in Carrol County, Virginia and d. 1910 in Surry County, North Carolina. Richmond married first a lady named Catherine _____ their Divorce was finalized 22 March, 1861 in Carroll County, Virginia. Later he married Sarah "Sallie" Ann McCraw and had several children. Jacob and Esther had two daughters that I have found; Avis Eades b. abt 1844, Avis married a man by the last name of Shane. The second daughter, Annis Eades b. abt. 1846 Annis married Alexander Shouse. On the 1840 Census, Esther and the children were living in Gilreaths District, Wilkes County, North Carolina. She is living just two houses down from John Eades and Mary Polly (Massey) Eades. She is also listed on the 1841 School Census in Wilkes County, with son Richmond and right next to the John Eads family. I will be adding a page on this site containing the information I have to date on Jacob and Esther so please watch for it.
NOTE: I firmly suspect that Jacob was the son of our Ezekiel Eades and Mary Polly Barrett. All In Common Matches with this descendant seem to verify that lineage. Thus Jacob would have been a brother to the aforementioned John Eads Jr who wed Polly Massey. Note that I am currently researching and attempting to prove or disprove said theory.
